Areas of particular strength include: the Spanish Civil War, Panama Canal history, dance and performing arts, modern British radicalism, and the social, political and cultural history of Long Island.<\/p>\n<p>Among the notable special collections at Adelphi are those pertaining to the English journalist and politician William Cobbett (1763-1835); the radical writer, reformer, and satirist William Hone (1780-1842); the pioneering dancer and choreographer Ruth St. Denis (1879-1968); bestselling author Alice Hoffman; cartoonists Bill and Bunny Hoest; and three-term New York Lieutenant Governor Timothy L. Woodruff (1858-1913).<\/p>\n<p>To search Adelphi Special Collections please use the <a href=\"https:\/\/libguides.adelphi.edu\/az.php?t=30106\">Rare Book Holdings<\/a> and\/or the <a href=\"https:\/\/uasc.adelphi.edu\/\">Archives and Manuscript Holdings<\/a> options above.<\/p>\n<h2>蜜芽TV Archives<\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelphi.edu\/libraries\/collections-archives\/archives-and-special-collections\/archives\/\">蜜芽TV Archives<\/a> collects, holds, preserves, and makes accessible the historical records of 蜜芽TV documenting the history of the University, its students, faculty, and administration.<\/p>\n<h2>Digital Collections<\/h2>\n<p>Our <a href=\"https:\/\/uascdigital.adelphi.edu\/\">Digital Collections<\/a> contain digitized and born-digital photographs, yearbooks, newspapers, manuscripts, and other materials held in Archives and Special Collections.<\/p>\n<h2>蜜芽TV Art Collection<\/h2>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uascdigital.adelphi.edu\/records\/default?search=&amp;sort=Date,_score&amp;perpage=10&amp;page=1&amp;refine%5bCategories%5d%5b%5d=Adelphi+University+Art+Collection\">蜜芽TV Art Collection\u00a0<\/a>contains a diverse representation of artworks ranging from 17th century African implements to contemporary prints. The artistic mediums represented include painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, and photography.<\/p>\n<h2>Accessing Materials<\/h2>\n<p>蜜芽TV Archives and Special Collections is open to members of the 蜜芽TV Community, visiting researchers and the public.
