<\/a>The U.S. Center for Citizen Diplomacy<\/a> promotes opportunities for all Americans to be citizen diplomats and affirms the indispensable value of citizen involvement in international relations. In an era of increasing globalization, more and more people develop their most lasting impressions through face-to-face, personal encounters, when people visit the United States or when Americans travel abroad. In this context, the \u2018citizen diplomat\u2019 is a powerful force in defining the United States to the rest of the world.<\/p>\nUnited Nations University for Peace<\/h2>\n
<\/a>The University for Peace<\/a> was established as a Treaty Organization in an international agreement adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in Resolution 35\/55<\/a>. It is the only university in the world with the following mission:<\/p>\nBard Globalization & International Affairs Program<\/h2>\n
<\/a>Bard College\u2019s Globalization and International Affairs (BGIA)<\/a> Program provides a unique opportunity for university students and recent graduates from around the world to engage in the study and practice of: international law; international relations theory; global public health; political economy; international reporting; and other aspects of international affairs. BGIA has small and highly selective semester and summer programs.<\/p>\nGlobal Youth Connect<\/h2>\n
<\/a>Global Youth Connect (GYC)<\/a> programs provide young leaders from diverse ethnic, national, economic, and religious backgrounds with opportunities to learn more about human rights and enhance their ability to take action on pressing human rights issues.
